Clean surfaces.
Exact execution.

Panel clarity · trim · charging access

01

The finish has nowhere to hide.

The Model Y’s broad doors and relatively uninterrupted sides put reflections on display. Dust, surface damage and inconsistencies beneath the film can remain visible. Paint inspection and preparation come before choosing the finish.

02

Small details still need room to move.

Handles, mirror housings and the charging-door area need their own edge plan. Camera lenses and any fitted sensors must remain clear. Coverage is agreed around moving parts and access points, rather than treating the body as one continuous sheet.

03

The year changes the plan.

The 2020–2024 Model Y and redesigned 2025+ exterior have different front and rear details. Coverage is not interchangeable. Existing black trim may already achieve the look you want; we confirm your actual equipment and accessories before recommending coverage or disassembly.

A full change.
Or a considered accent.

/ 01

Full color change

Transform the painted exterior with one consistent finish. Confirm whether jambs and hidden returns are included when the doors open.

/ 02

Roof & mirror accents

Consider painted roof surrounds or mirror caps for contrast. Glass roof areas require a separate material and suitability discussion; they are not assumed to be part of a vinyl roof wrap.

/ 03

Trim & selective details

Plan chrome delete only where the car has suitable bright trim. Interior accents and business graphics can be discussed as separate scopes, away from controls and safety equipment.

Coverage, preparation & the complete wrap process

One shape.
Different expressions.

Choose the visual result, then compare physical film samples in more than one light. Screen colors are not a substitute for the material.

01

Satin metallic

Softens reflections while adding definition across the doors and rear quarters.

02

Gloss

Keeps reflections crisp for a paint-like appearance. View the sample in daylight as well as the studio.

03

Matte

Creates a quieter, more architectural look. Choose it with a care routine suited to a low-sheen surface.

04

Color shift

Makes the simple silhouette more expressive as light and viewing angle change. Preview a physical sample before committing.

Quote the project.
Not just the badge.

Cost and installation time follow the agreed scope. Confirm the film, preparation, visible edges and extra coverage before comparing quotes.

Exterior or extended coverage

A closed-door color change and a project including door jambs involve different amounts of material and labor.

Paint and previous film

Repainted panels, stone chips, coatings and old wrap affect preparation. Removal work is assessed separately.

Film and finish

Specialty colors, material availability and installation requirements can change both the quote and the start date.

Your exact configuration

Generation, accessories, spoilers and the chosen trim details change access and the time needed to resolve edges.

A few good
questions.

Is the wrap plan the same for every Model Y?

No. Body updates, model year, trim, cameras, accessories and paint history all matter. Your vehicle is assessed before the panel and edge strategy is confirmed.

Will the original paint show when a door opens?

It can, if the scope covers only the visible exterior. Door jambs and hidden returns need to be discussed explicitly because they add preparation, material and labor.

Does a color-change wrap replace paint protection film?

No. Color-change vinyl is primarily a styling choice. If resisting stone chips is the priority, discuss PPF and suitable coverage separately rather than assuming vinyl provides the same protection.
